I always loved using Clints in my Succession Wars era scout (hunter) lances. Clint, PH, Valkyrie and something a little slower with mor fire power - Wovie Griffin some medium in the 5/8/0(5 preferably) and heavier fire power for the Clint and Valk to heard them too. And YES get them into more games. Another keen piece of work there sir.

I've always liked the Clint version of the IIC, this is a really good Clan conversion.

The Clint IIC is just awesome. Its not the most glorious mech, but it is an agile and potent midrange skirmisher that can take a couple hits while it dishes em out. It also looks awesome.

Clint IIC is exactly what a IIC should be: "Bring more of X to X" Base Clint has a decent range autocannon, two of the most solid weapons in the setting, and alright speed. IIC? Buffed up the AC to make it more of a brawler, buffed up the lasers to make them more of a threat, buffed up the engine to make it better at its new role. It just makes the Clint more Clint-like, and thats good

The origional clint had about the same armor as a locust. I always feared running one for myself, but I loved running them as opposition forces in campaigns I have run. The pack enough punch to threaten light mechs if ignored, but would fold easily if everyone worked together.

FYI the Clint has been added into Mech5 with mods at least. Which is kinda nice.

Always love the original Clint, less because the mech itself but the kind of lore around it and how it slots into the history of the setting. The Clint IIC is an interest beast itself for some of the same reasons. And the IIC isn't too bad in game-play either.

The odd thing about Clan Omnimech variants for me is that the TRO variants don’t see much use in the novels, whilst the novels keep adding variants which aren’t in the TROs. 🤷‍♀️

Sure you could run across mechs with double heat sinks from the Free worlds league at first, but to make a mech that late and it could function well with normal heat sinks was great. Not to mention being able to stand up to clan tech without roasting the pilot.

Fun fact: IRL dervishes were essentially just itinerant scam artists, so it's all rather fitting.

Honestly, The Ishtar looks like a good opportunity to get a bunch of clan tech gear to put on a Battlemech. Either bought with Twinkies or Two or Three by salvage.

Imagine how much cooler this would look with the LRMs moved to fire over the turret like a Sherman Calliope & a dozer blade up front.
